DEPARTMENT OF MECHANICAL ENGINEERING

This department being one of the ever green branches of engineering has driven the world of technology to excellence. This branch is home to nearly 150 students in its pre-final and final year. Apart from this diploma education, there are about 70 students pursuing different modular employability skills programmes in different trades. The programmes of this department are so designed to produce skilled problem solvers and innovators who are able to create/modify mechanical /electro-mechanical systems according to the requirements creating an impact in the industry and society at large.

Be it diploma level programme or modular skill based vocational training programs, the faculty are committed to finding new and innovative ways to impart knowledge so as to make our class room reverberate with energy and activity.

Lab facilities:

As a part of their course work, students get their practical training in laboratories such as Material Testing and Quality Control Lab, Fluid Mechanics and Fluid Power Lab, Thermal Engg. Lab, Manufacturing technology Lab, Metrology & Measurement and Machine Tool Testing Practical, Refrigeration and Air-conditioning Lab, and the Process Automation Lab. In addition, they also learn the Computer Integrated Manufacturing Lab and the Computer-Aided Machine Drawing Lab.
