CERTIFICATE COURSES

There are 2 kinds of courses:

  1. The Modular Employability skills courses
  2. The value-added programmes through CIICP
These programmes are open to the rural unemployed youth/school children/dropouts/ladies of the neighbouring villages


1. Modular Employability Skill Courses :

There is a minimum age and educational qualification eligibility criteria as certified by the Government of India, which is varying for the different courses. Please refer www.ncvt.org

+ CERTIFICATION:

Successful completion of the course study, an examination will be conducted with an expert in the corresponding sector, deputed by the Directorate General of Employment & Training, Government of India. On passing the examination, the candidate will receive a certificate from the Directorate of Employment & Training, with which he/she can register with the Employment Exchange for employment.


2. Value added Programmes through CIICP:

The Canada India Institutional Cooperation Project (CIICP) is a major Human Resource Development Project, initially jointly funded by Canada and India to improve the quality and enhance the quantum of the human resource potential and to achieve development in Polytechnic Education. Various job oriented, need-based training programs are offered by the CIICP Polytechnic Colleges under Continuing Education Programs by the Directorate of Technical Education (DoTE), Tamil Nadu

There is a minimum age and educational qualification eligibility criteria as provided by the State Project Coordination Unit (SPCU), Directorate of Technical Education, Chennai for each of the courses. Please refer www.spcu.org. . The following are the thrust areas identified for the conduct of value-added courses under the auspices of Canada India Institution Cooperation Project (CIICP):

+ CERTIFICATION:

Successful completion of the course study, an examination will be conducted with an expert in the corresponding specialization, who is fixed by the Continuing Education Cell of JRPC. The mode of examination is either a Project/Written test. On passing the examination, the candidate will receive a certificate from the State Project Coordination Unit, Directorate of Technical Education, Government of Tamil Nadu. The certificate will bear the logo of the Canada and India Institute Partnership on the left end the college logo on the right end. The certificate so issued is eligible for registration in the Employment Exchange for employment.
